We use an Imacon Flextight Precision III scanner, with custom made RodenStock lenses.
The Flextight scanner has a unique award-winning design: it uses a magnetic frame to hold the original firmly, then automatically feeds it into the scanner and flexes it around a virtual drum. By completely avoiding the use of glass, gel and anti-Newton spray, it creates incredibly sharp and detailed scans.

4.2Dmax in a single pass. Many inferior scanners require up to 12 or 14 passes to achieve such a high Dmax figure; these multiple passes generate additional data for artefacts in the scan and consequently give poor image representation.

Our prices include checking the scan and making minor adjustments in Adobe Photoshop. If you would like us to do further work on the image, such as place it into a document, cut it out or vectorize it, this additional work will be charged at £60 per hour.
If you would like an accurate colour proof of the scan, our Highwater digital proofs are the answer. They give a very good approximation to the finished printed job.
We offer various proofing options, the most accurate of which are our Highwater Digital Proofs.
If you would like a low resolution PDF proof emailed to you, this is available at no extra charge – providing the job goes ahead.
These are free of charge, unless the job does not proceed to a finished PDF or film, in which case they are charged at £1 each.
These are not colour-correct. There is a minimum charge of £10. The prices per page are:
On A4 paper (not big enough for an A4 image) £2

These are RIP’d on a Highwater Torrent RIP and printed onto Du Pont / Epson Commercial Proofing Paper. They give a very good approximation to the finished printed job. The prices are:

Our highly skilled studio staff (all are Adobe Certified Experts) will be pleased to create or amend artwork files in any program.
We can work quickly and accurately in word processor and spreadsheet programs as well as all DTP programs – however obscure!
Our studio hourly rate is £60 per hour, with a minimum amendment charge of £10.
