thoughts about Leaflet Printing

You probably don’t give much thought to all the leaflets and other promotional material you see around you. Those leaflets that drop through the door at an alarming rate for pizzas and cleaning services, those offering discounts given out at the shopping centre and leaflets advertising events that find their way onto counter tops at your hairdressers or at a pub.

Each one of those has been designed to inform you of something, maybe not something you need immediately but you will notice them if it is a product of service you need. A well designed leaflet or flyer should be eye-catching and express the message clearly and concisely. If you take care to get your advertising right, your prospective customers will be reassured that you will take as much care with them.

There are many different paper weights and types that you can use for leaflet printing, many are presented on a 130gsm or 150gsm gloss art material that has a coating to give it a shine and an element of durability, and the same weight on a silk material gives a subtle satin finish that can add an element of sophistication to your promotion. Heavier weight materials such as 280gsm gloss or silk, or a 350gsm or 400gsm card can offer a product that may be kept longer, a flyer for an event, or a discount voucher.

If you are not a confident designer, it is worthwhile spending some time talking to a printer who can help you with the technical details. Often printers require you to send your files in a certain format with various design elements you may not have considered, such as bleed or a safe area for your text and graphics. Sometimes spending a small amount on getting the design right can reap the benefits when handing out the finished leaflets.
